Lehmann Audio Phonolith Silver
A sensation in the audio HiFi world !
Lehmann Audio has been active since 1988 in developing and engineering Phono and Headphone preamplifiers at the highest level, such as the well-known and world-famous Black Cube which was one of the first phono preamplifier..
The latest addition to the Lehmann Audio family has been given the name Phonolith.
A special combination of a High End Phono Preamplifier and a Headphone Amplifier, all including a Preamplifier function with extra input at Line level for connecting a CD player, Streamer or Tape deck, for example.
The Phonolith has a Phono input which is technically derived from the top model, the Lehmann Audio Decade.
The phono preamplifier is equipped with extensive adaptability for virtually all MM and MC elements on the world market.
The terminating impedances that can be set via DIP switches vary between 100 Ohm and 47 k Ohm and internally it is possible to place any desired impedance resistor in a special slot designed for this purpose, which can also be selected via the DIP switches.
The amplification factor is adjustable between 36 and 66 dB and you can also activate Bass/Subsonic via DIP switches with 4 input frequencies from 7 Hz to 78 Hz.
Headphone amplifiers have been the second domain of Lehmann Audio for almost 20 years, next to Phono preamplifiers.
Internationally known recording engineers and mastering studios such as the Bauer Studios and the Calyx Mastering Studios have been working with Lehmann headphone amplifiers for many years for fast and reliable assessment of their work.
The Phonolith has headphone amplification at the highest level supplied by Lehmann, with 3 adjustable gain factors of 0, plus 10 or even plus 20 dB via DIP switches, so that even the most insensitive headphone designs can be controlled perfectly.
Partly due to its low output impedance and output voltage of max. 9 V, the preamplifier can effectively drive long cables without any problems for connection to, for example, an active speaker system, the own Lehmann STAMP power amplifier, or of course any other high-quality power amplifier.
The Phonolith has a separate power supply in the highest-quality PWX2 version, where a second phono preamplifier can even be supplied with power via an additional output.
The whole thing stands on its own Lehmann 3S feet, which work via the so-called String Suspension System for optimal damping of vibrations and clear gains in terms of peace, transparency and dynamics!
