The Technics SL-1000MK2 was the flagship Turntable from Technics, consisting of a Professional SP-10MK2 Direct-Drive motor system mounted in an obsidian plinth with state-of-the-art EPA-100 nitrogen-hardened titanium tonearm.
Features include a quartz reference broadcast standard motor, high load and starting torque for instantaneous start, single row quartz controlled stroboscope, separate power supply unit and remote control for start/stop.

The condition of this offered Technics SL-1000MK2 can be called very special, with only 1 owner from the first hand in an excellent condition, both technically and aesthetically.

We have chosen to provide the entire power supply with new electrolytic capacitors (recaps) and to recalibrate the various output voltages (5V DC, 35V DC and 140V AC), these voltages drive the SP-10MK2 direct drive motor system.

The height adjustment VTA of the EPA-100 tonearm can get very stuck over the years, to get it moving, the lever often breaks off, a common problem.
To prevent this, we have also paid a lot of attention here, the height adjustment has been completely overhauled in its entirety and the VTA can now be adjusted with appropriate force.

During this overhaul we discovered that Technics soldered the internal tonearm cabling to the SME DIN connection on the underside very badly, this too has been professionally repaired with new high-end cabling.
We have replaced the original Technics external tonearm interlink with a new Van Den Hul D-502 Hybrid tonearm cabling with central ground wire, terminated with Van Den Hul TAC tonearm connector standard. 5 pin 270 in right angle version & with ETI Research Copper Link High End Audio RCA Connectors.
All this results in an excellent signal transfer to your Phono Pre-Amp at a high-end level.
