Not only with new vinyl records, but also with your old vinyl records, contamination and residue in the grooves are the number 1 cause of sound quality degradation.
The stylus, as it were, scrapes the contamination from the groove, dust, residue, sticky substances remain on the stylus.
It is therefore wise to wash your records to get as little contamination as possible on the stylus.
With the Tonar Top Tip you can neatly clean the stylus so that the stylus scans the groove of your vinyl records cleanly again.
How often you clean the stylus depends of course on how dirty it is, disassemble (if possible) the headshell with cartridge from your turntable so that you can check the stylus properly.
Also use a magnifying glass because you cannot always see pollution, but also tiny dust threads with the naked eye.
The Top Tip comes in 15 ml. liquid with brush and an extra stylus brush.
