The solution when you are going to use the Reloop RP-7000 MK2 in a Hi-Fi setup.
When you use the Reloop RP-7000 MK2 or RP-8000 MK2 turntable in combination with a dust cover in a Hi-Fi setup, two problems arise.
* At a stylus pressure of 2.0 grams (Hifi cartridge mounted on a headshell) then you cannot correctly set the stylus pressure with the original counterweight supplied with the RP-7000 and RP-8000 MK2, the counterweight is then too far back .
* This results in a second problem, namely the counterweight touches the dust cover, this sounds strange but it does happen.
Most likely Reloop thinks that both record players are only used in the DJ segment in combination with DJ elements, the well-known Banana's.
But that's not the case, we also sell the RP-7000 MK2 in the hi-fi segment, and our experience shows that you run into two problems as described above.
How do you solve this, with the counterweight of the TURN 5, which is heavier, after all 121 grams.
This counterweight moves further up the tonearm and no longer touches the dust cover when the tonearm rotates inward.
Problem solved!
