Nagaoka MP-200 Phono Cartridge

Features of the MP-200
The sound of the MP-200 is strikingly smooth, with even the reverberation coming through impressively.
The technical highlights of this cartridge include the use of a lightweight boron cantilever, combined with a superfine polished elliptical diamond stylus. The internal generator is based on a powerful samarium-cobalt magnet and delivers an output of 4mV (1kHz, 5cm/s).
The MP-200 was introduced to the stereophonic sound market in "Tube Ball King" 2018 WINTER Vol. 87, and has been praised for its boron cantilever, a technology that is typically not found in this price range. This cartridge is especially suited for music genres such as classical and jazz.

Nagaoka MP (Moving Permalloy) Series Cartridges
The Nagaoka "MP" series belongs to the 'Moving Iron' (MI) family and features replaceable styli. The body of the cartridge contains a relatively large, stationary samarium-cobalt magnet, placed directly above the stylus carrier. Unlike standard MM cartridges, the MP series does not have a magnet in the cantilever, but rather an alloy with very high magnetic conductivity.
Thanks to this innovative design, the MP cartridges offer low tip mass, improved dynamic performance, and an efficient generator. The latest generation of the Nagaoka MP series is equipped with a carbon fiber-reinforced mounting bar and an even more powerful samarium-cobalt magnet, ensuring even better performance.
