Nagaoka MP type stereo cartridge MP-150 mounted on a Nagaoka headshell
A powerful wide-band sound model featuring a lively feeling of popping
An ambitious work using a cantilever made of tapered aluminum alloy and an elliptical diamond needle.
Characterized by a firm sound.
MP-150 was posted on HI-FI WORLD
General:
The Nagaoka MP-150 features a hardened low-mass tapered aluminum cantilever with a superfine polished elliptical diamond needle tip.
The frequency range is from 20 Hertz to 20 kiloHertz, the mass of an MP-150 is 6.5 grams and the maximum output voltage is 4.5 millivolts.
The tracking force range of the MP-110 is from 1.5 to 2 grams.
The Nagaoka MP-150 takes about +/- 30 hours to be played alone and feels most comfortable with a VTF (vertical tracking force of 1.75 grams, offers superior clarity, detail and dynamic contrast and a nice solid bass, excellent across the frequency spectrum.
We are dealing here with honest and sophisticated craftsmanship that can be enjoyed for years.
The interchangeable needle carrier remains a practical advantage of Moving Magnet, Induced Magnet and Moving Iron cartridges (as well as their high output voltage).
